FAQ
  • How will I know, that I am getting the best coverage?"
While I can not ensure every single moment that happens on your wedding day is completely filmed, I will do my best to film each important moment. Before your wedding, we will go over each detail, the important things/ people to you, and what the expectations are. This way, we can make sure that your Wedding Film will be all that you desire and more! To get the best coverage for your wedding day events, ask me about adding a 2nd videographer!
  • Can I request a seccond videographer?
Yes! If you are looking for optimal coverage, I have a few camera operators available to seccond shoot. Ask me about this during our meeting! <3
  • How long until I get my Wedding Film?
Full Wedding Film Collections are expected to be delivered around 8 - 12 months after the wedding date. My priority is ALWAYS quality over quick turnaround time.
  • Can you do both photography and videography on my wedding day?
Unfortunately not. I want to ensure that your wedding film has my full attention so that I can do my best work for you! I have several photographers that I love to work with- just ask!
  • Can you use my fiance's and my favorite song for our film?
I use music that is either copywright free or where I can purchase the rights to use the music. If the artist of the song you are looking to use is very famous... well, the rights to use that song can be well over $45,000. Before your wedding day, I ask about what kind of music you two listen to to get an idea of the style of music for you film.
  • Can I get the full Ceremony, Speeches and/or Formal Dances Video?"
YES YES YES! In fact, I encourage my couples to add this to their package. Anyone, who is looking to have a higher coverage of their wedding day, is welcome here! Prices range from the style of edit and how much coverage you are looking for.
  • Do you travel?
HECK YES! Wisconsin Wedding Videography is a at the core of Hoffland Films. Many locations within 3 hours of La Crosse, Wisconsin are covered for travel fees. For locations outside of this region, please inquire for pricing.
  • Have you ever worked with x Photographer or y Venue?
Before the wedding, I typically reach out to the photographer to coordinate a game plan so that we can be on the same page all day, the DJ since we will be working together to capture great audio, the coordinator for details of the day, and the venue to check for any limitations that I need to know. I also do show up early to scout the property.
  • Do we need to feed you?
Yes, please! I do ask that you provide a meal for myself and the addional photographer (if applicable) at your reception. If possible, please provide us a table near or facing towards the bridal party table. That way, we can get the best coverage of your reception activities (and nope, we will not be filming you eating dinner! ).
  • Is there an hour limitation for my wedding day?
I film weddings, normally, up to 10 hours, however, videography is an art and I prefer to not be in a rush. I don't want either of us stressing about things ending later than intended.
  • How do we reserve our wedding date?
You can reserve your date with a secure down payment of $1,500. The remaining balance is due in full 30 days before your wedding date. Your wedding date can be held until three days after you've received the quote.
  • Can we pick our own music?
Your suggestions are always welcome and I will try to work with your ideas. To use music in a wedding video, it must be legally licensed and most mainstream music is not available to license. I typically pick music based on the vibe and emotion of the wedding day. This is usually the first thing I do when I start to edit your wedding video since it is the driving force behind your video. If you have a mood or genre in mind then we can discuss this before your wedding day.
  • If I have to postpone my wedding more than once, what does that look like?"
If you need to reschedule your wedding date, we will check with the available dates that you and I, both, have. I try to be as flexible as I can be with each and every one of my clients. If you do need to reschedule your wedding, please let me know as soon as possible, so we can ensure I can be available for your new date(s).
  • Can we restructure the payment(s)?
Each balance is split into 3 separate payments. If you would like a custom payment plan, please let me know.
  • Do you shoot photos as well as video?
No. Hoffland Films provides videography services only. If you'd like photographer suggestions- I would be more than happy to send you a list of photographers, that I believe would work best for you!
